The following Scriptures, taken from both Old and New Testaments, will prove to those seeking God’s Truth that a remnant of the descendants of the Tribes of Israel, obedient Gentiles and the true church are one in the same. These are true believers (saints) who are known Biblically as “the church” and “the Israel of God” (Gal. 6:16). In the following postings I will highlight God’s Word relative to the nation of Israel by using key words to reveal her current identity in the eyes of God. Then I will show Him using those same words to identify His New Covenant Church.
ISRAEL: Isaiah 43:1–“But know this says the Lord Who CREATED you, O Jacob, and He Who FORMED you, O Israel …. I REDEEMED you and CALLED you by your name. You are mine.” Isaiah 44:22–“… return to Me for I have REDEEMED you (Israel). Isaiah 43:21–“This people (Israel) I have FORMED for Myself ….”
THE CHURCH: First Peter 1:18,19–“You know that you (the church) were … REDEEMED … by the precious blood of Christ.” Luke 1:68,69–“Blessed is the Lord God of Israel, for He has visited and REDEEMED His people and has provided for the salvation of the house of His servant David.” Romans 8:28,29–“All things work for the good of those who love God, who are CALLED according to His purpose. Those whom He CALLED he foreknew.”
ISRAEL: Isaiah 43:3–“I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your SAVIOR ….”
THE CHURCH: The words “our SAVIOR” appear 10 times in the New Testament relative to the New Covenant Church.
These few passages are sufficient proof of the Israel-church connection. Having dealt with thousands of church people, I know that the vast majority of church members would not read what I have written so far in this posting. The majority of those who would read it would reject it. Having been deceived by Satan into believing that they are saved and therefore have no need to know God’s Truth, both groups choose church ignorance over Scriptural knowledge. Such ignorance, they believe, will shield them from the wrath of God. This in spite of the Words of God found in Hosea 4:6: “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” Notice about whom God is speaking–ancient Israel and the church–the “Israel of God” in these last days. Notice also that they were/are being destroyed. Notice why they were perishing–IGNORANCE OF GOD’S WORD. God’s message is clear: IGNORANCE WILL NOT SAVE US FROM HIS WRATH. L.J.
