In the initial posting on this subject I pointed out that, following birth, both man and beast tend to attach themselves to the first thing they see and remain attached to it until forced or persuaded to do otherwise. Just as human beings are susceptible to the “first sight” phenomenon on the social level, so are they on the spiritual level. As this series will show, spiritual attachment is especially powerful and almost impossible to break. I contend that if the 3.2 billion people who call themselves Christians were asked why they are involved in their chosen religious system, 99.99% would admit that they were born into it. And if asked why they have remained in that system they would say it is because it is the “right” system. And if asked why their system, relative to all other systems, is the “right” system, they would say that the Bible confirms it. And if asked how they know that the Bible confirms their beliefs, customs, etc., they would say that their leaders declare the rightness of their theology, therefore their theology must be right because they were taught it in the seminary by those who “know” Bible truth. In every religious circle the formula for determining Bible Truth is unwavering and, without exception, plays out as follows: Parents are taught by their parents, who were taught by their parents, who were taught by their parents, etc., etc. generation after generation after generation, ad infinitum. Each generation of parents “know” that what they are teaching their children is “God’s truth” because they were taught it by the previous generation, etc., etc. Added to this mix are the “ministers of righteousness” who were taught those same “truths” by previous church leaders who “knew” the truth because they had been taught it by those in the previous generation who “knew” the truth. The idea is that because so many people have believed the same “truths” for so many generations, those “truths” must be in fact God’s truth.
When it comes to things of the spirit, “like parents, like child” is the established mind-set. Because as children we look to our parents for guidance and “truth” in all areas of life, we enter into adulthood having the same religious mind-set as our progenitors. The belief is that they, having many generations of experience to draw from, know right and wrong, truth and error, etc. And because many generations have proclaimed the same “truth,” each succeeding generation assumes that the “truth” they are receiving is God’s Bible Truth. This system works beautifully if the “truth” they receive is in fact God’s Truth. However, as I have proven time and again, such is not the case. Satan has indeed “deceived the whole world” (Rev. 12:9). This includes the so-called Christian world.
The seduction, conversion and dictatorial control of what is called “the (Catholic/Protestant) church” is Satan’s most prized accomplishment. The world’s other religions have never acknowledged the Biblical God, meaning that Satan created them and owns them. The so-called church, on the other hand, has loudly and continuously proclaimed her affiliation with the Biblical God from her beginning. In order to become what she is today, she had to be won away from the Biblical God Who founded her. Satan has been ultimately successful in wooing church people away from the Founder and Father of their religion. One need only compare the contents of God’s Holy Scriptures to what passes for Christendom today to see how successful the devil has been. The question then becomes: HOW DID HE DO IT?
The answer is that man assumes that “what I’ve always been taught” by those who came before him must be right. Adolf Hitler wrote that if one hears a lie repeated over and over one will believe the lie to be the truth, no matter how much proof one has to the contrary. With this in mind, he convinced a nation, and much of the world, that the Jews were the cause of all of humanity’s problems and needed to be eradicated. In other words, a lie, if left unchallenged, eventually becomes truth. This is especially true relative to religious matters. A local preacher admitted to one of his parishioners that I (the Bible) was right and he was wrong, then proclaimed that he would not change his message. This “minister of righteousness,” when confronted with Bible Truth, refused to embrace it. Incredibly, neither he, nor his parishioner, nor any of the other “Christians” who read what I had written in the local newspaper embraced God’s Word. They will go to their graves or face the Great Tribulation with crosses hanging around their necks and Bibles resting on their coffee tables “knowing” that what they “have always been taught” will carry them into the arms of the God Whose Word they reject, thereby proclaiming that they “DESPISE” Him and His Son (Lk. 10:16). NEVER DOUBT THE POWER OF SATAN. L.J.
